Islamic scholar, politician (B. 1926, Konya - D. 6 March 2011, Konya). He was one of the well-known Islamic scholars in Konya during the Republic Period; he worked as Konya central preacher and mufti. His writings were published in Büyük Doğu magazine. He attended to interviews in local radio stations in Konya.

After 1977, he supported the political movement which was led by Necmettin Erbakan. He was one of the founders of Milli Selamet Party and he worked as Konya congressman from this party in parliament between 1977 and 80. He was accused by being one of the leaders of Saving Kudus meeting in Konya in September 6, 1980, which was shown as the reason of September 12 revolution. After the September 12 revolution Büyükkörükçü was sent to prison, he was the second politician who took much punishment after Necmettin Erbakan, he was send to jail for four years. After September 12, when it was allowed to political parties, he supported Refah Party, then Fazilet Party and Saadet Party.
