Journalist and writer (b. 1942, Edremit
/ Balıkesir). He graduated from Manisa High School for Boys. He is known for
his nearly one hundred interviews that were published in the newspaper Cumhuriyet between 1966-
He won the İzmir Journalists
Association Hasan Tahsin Award in 1968, 1970 and 1971 and the Turkish Language
Association Press Award in 1975. He worked as the editor-in-chief of the
newspaper Cumhuriyet for a time. He
is still a columnist at the same newspaper.
