Poet and writer. He was born in Amasya
(central) in January 31, 1966. He completed his primary and secondary education
in Amasya. He graduated from Amasya High School (1983), Ankara University
Faculty of Language History Geography Department of Persian Language and
Literature (1987). He studied his master (1989) and Ph.D (1995) in the same
place. His master thesis was: “Câmî ve
Subhatu’l-Ebrâr Mesnevisi”. Ph.D. Thesis was: “İdris-i Bidlisî - Selim Şahnâme”. After 1988, he began to work as
lecturer in Ankara University FLHG.
His writings, poems and translations from
Iran literature were published in Aylık
Dergi (Ankara), Ayane, Düş Çınarı,
Edebiyat Ortamı, Kardelen, Yedi İklim, Hece, DTCF Doğu Dilleri Dergisi, Nüsha
(quarterly scientific research magazine, as founder and editor) since 1981. In
1995, he prepared and hosted radio show in Hedef Radio. His poem titled Vuslat Dizeleri III was composed by
Eşref Ziya Terzi with the title Yağmur.
He is a member of Turkey Writers Union (was also the general president for a
while).
