Historian and writer (b. 1819, İstanbul – d. 1866, Tehran / Iran). He is the son of Abdülhak Molla. He had a Madrasah Muslim School education. He was a famous scholar with titles such as the Mullah of İzmir and Mecca. He also graduated from Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Şahane (School of Medicine) and was the chairman of the General Council and School of Medicine (1859). He was the Ambassador to Tehran when he died. He wrote works on geography, medicine, agriculture as well as history. He is also known as the first playwright.
