Writer. Born on August 28, 1942, in Akşehir/ Konya. He graduated from Bor Şehit Nuri Pamir Secondary School, Konya Ereğli High School (1962) and Ankara University, Faculty of Theology (1967). He completed his doctoral studies at Sorbonne University in 1977. His doctoral thesis was named as: “Les Idees Soufigues d’Ibrahim Haggı” (Mysticism of Ibrahim Hakkı). He worked as a proofreader in Religious Affairs Administration (1968) and as a teacher in Çumra and Konya (1970-1971). He became an assistant at Ankara University, Faculty of Theology (1977) and an associate professor in 1982. He conducted research in Tunisia and Germany. He taught Philosophy of Islam as a lecturer. He gave lectures in Algeria Constantine University between the academic years of 1987 and1988. He became a professor in 1988. He worked as vice dean at AU Faculty of Theology between 1983 and 1989. He worked as State Ministry Consultant (1989-1991). He returned to work as a lecturer in 1991. He worked as senator at University Senate for two terms between 1993 and 1999. He was AU Social Sciences Institute Executive Board Member and State Ministry Consultant between 1995 and 1998. He worked as the Department Head of Philosophy and Religious Sciences between 1994 and 2002. He was the president of Konya Culture and Solidarity Association between 1992 and 1995. He is a member of Turkish Philosophy Association.

His original and translated articles were published in journals such as AÜ İlâhiyat Fakültesi, Türk Yurdu, Türk Kültürü, Diyanet, Eğitim Hareketleri, Din Öğretimi, Araştırma, Türk Dili. He has more than hundred articles, translations, papers submitted at national and international congresses, seminars and symposiums and several speeches in radio and television on Philosophical Thought in Islam, Psychology and Ethics.
