Hasan Pulur

Journalist and writer (b. 27 March 1932, İstanbul - d. 29 November 2015, İstanbul). He graduated from Kabataş High School for Boys (1953) and İstanbul University, Faculty of Law. He began in journalism at the newspaper Son Saat in 1954. Then he worked as a correspondent at Vatan, Havadis, Akşam newspapers (1956-57), as a correspondent, chief editor and columnist at Milliyet newspaper (1958-79), as a columnist at the newspapers Hürriyet (1979-86), Güneş (1986-88), and he has worked at again Milliyet since 1988.

His poems were published in Dönüm (1953-54), which was directed by Hilmi Yavuz and Demir Özlü, Mavi, Yeditepe, Mülkiye, Yeni Ufuk reviews and the art the supplement of Son Saat newspaper, which he administered himself. In 1953 he collected the second award in a competition that was arranged by art supplement of Akşam newspaper with a poem. In 1957 he collected the Golden Pen Award in a competition arranged by the İstanbul Journalists Association. In 1982 and 1983 he collected different achievement awards in competitions held by the same society.
