Literature researcher (b. 1326 [1910], Terbicik köyü / Erzurum – d. 23 Ocak 2005, İstanbul). He completed primary school in Yıldızeli. He learned Arabic and Persian during his childhood. He was graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1929, Military School in 1931. Then, with the permission of Ministry of Defense, he attended to exam in Istanbul University and received the certificate of teacher. In 1935, he completed his internship next to Tâhirü’l-Mevlevî (Tahir Olgun) in Kuleli Military High School and began to work as a teacher. He worked in various military schools, civil colleges and high schools as Turkish and literature teacher until his retirement in 1965. He received Turkey Writers Union’s Outstanding Service Award in 2001 with his translations from Mevlana and studies about Mevlevi dervishes.
