Storywriter and novelist (b. 28 May
1973, Yalova). Her married name is Çıtak. She married Manuel Çıtak who is a
photographic artist. She graduated from Yalova High School and Istanbul
University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Anthropology (1995). During
her years at the faculty she worked as a reporter and editor at private TV
channels. In the following years she has concentrated on literature. She
continues to work in İstanbul.
Since 1993 her
stories have been published in the review Varlık and her prose has been
published the newspapers Milliyet and Radikal and the review Öküz.
In 1990 her caricatures was published by the Sokak review. An obscenity
investigation was opened because of the storybook Hanene Ay Doğacak (The
Moon will Rise on Your House), with which she received the 1993 Yunus Nadi
Story Book Award. She collected the 1995 Marmara University Faculty of
Communication Book of the Year Award with her book Öykümü Kim Anlatacak
(Who Will Tell My Story?).
