Poet and writer (b. 1929, Evci village / Sungurlu / Çorum - d. 11 November 2018). He attended Evci Primary School (1944) and graduated from Hasanoğlan Village Institute (1950), Gazi Institute of Education (Gazi University Faculty of Education) Department of Literature (1953) and TODAİE Public Administration (1965). He worked as a teacher and manager at Boğazkale Primary School (1950-53), Hacıbektaş Secondary School (1953-54) and Sorgun Secondary School (1956-58). He served as parliamentary deputy for Çorum in the Turkish National Assembly from 1965 to 69. He officially retired (1970) and after he worked as a teacher at Ankara Bahçelievler Institute for Girls for a while. He is a member of the Ankara Art Foundation, the Kemalist Writers Union and the Association of Turkish Parliamentarians.

In 1947 his first poem Bir Ev Ki (A Home Like) was published in Nilüfer review (Ankara). In the following years, his poetry and articles were published in Nilüfer (1947-48), Kaynak (1948-53), İlköğretim (1953-57), Doğan Kardeş (1958-63), Varlık (1959), Sesimiz (1976-86), Dolunay (1986 -88), Türk Edebiyat (1988), Mavi Derinlik (1991) reviews and different newspapers. Since 1966 he has visited Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy and Switzerland. In 1948 he collected third award in a poem competition held by Nilüfer review, in 1972 the first award at the Arkın Children’s Literature Award Story Category, in 1991 the İş Bank Grand Award for Literature and the İstanbul Children’s Association Children’s Literature Honor Award.
