Poet and writer (b. 19 November 1951, Yalıkavak / Bodrum / Muğla). He has used the pen name Aydın Aydıoğlu in some of his works. He attended Eski Foça Primary School, Karadeniz Ereğli High School and graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Natural Sciences (1975). He worked as a biology teacher at high schools in Kars, Gerze and Kurşunlu, as an accountant in Kars, Van and Erzincan, as seller of second hand books (1996) and as a redactor. He retired in 2001.

His first poem was published in the newspaper Yeniasır and his subsequent works have been published in the reviews Damar, Şiir Okulu, Çağdaş Türk Dili, Berfin Bahar, Evrensel Kültür, Aydınca, Minerva, Somut, Agora, Öteki-siz, Gerçek Sanat and Papirüs and in the newspapers Cumhuriyet, Yeniasır, Demokrat İzmir, Aydınlık, Evrensel, Siyahbeyaz and Gazete Ege. He received an honorable mention in the Sabri Akay Poetry Competition, third prize in a children’s poetry contest held by the Damar Review and Çankaya Municipality, first prize in the 1997 İbrahim Yıldız Poetry Competition and the 2005 Ömer Nida Poetry Award. He is a member of the Writers Syndicate of Turkey.
