Architect. He was born in Istanbul in 1958. He graduated from Saint Michel High School (1976) and then from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture (1982). Between 1982 and 1983 he worked in Paris in the architectural studios of Vidal and Gülgönen and of Bernstein, Champetier, Vidal. He did his post graduate with a theses called Tarihsel Koruma ve Yakın Yıllarda İstanbul’daki Uygulama Örnekleri in 1988 at Istanbul Technical University. His professional career began in 1984. He established the firm "Mimarlar Tasarım ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri AŞ" in 1986. He was a member of Archiprix Turkey jury in 1996. He began to administer a project office at Yıldız Technical University in 1996 and at Uludağ University in 1998. After 1992 he has been a member of guest jury in various universities and he gave lectures in many cities like Damascus and Zagreb. In 2005 he administered a project office at Graduate School Design, Harvard for a semester. He attended many joint projects with famous architects like Rem Koolhas, Herzog & DeMeuron.

He won the Project Award of the National Architecture Awards with Çatalhöyük Müze ve Ziyaretçi Merkezi in 2000, and the 9th Term Ağa Han Architecture Award with B2 Evi he designed for Selman Bilal and Süha Bilal, the owners of Bilsar Tekstil in 2004. A monograph of his recent work was published as a book called Recent Works by Harvard University Press in 2006.
