Poet (b. 19 April 1947, Ankara). She graduated from Yenimahalle Halide Edip High School for Girls (1966). Since her marriage to Çevik Şahin ended, she has used the name Zerrin Taşpınar Şahin. She has been working as an advisor and text writer at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation since 1993.

Her poems have appeared in the newspapers and periodicals Yarın, Varlık, Karşı, Damar, Parantez, Öykü-Şiir, Siyah Beyaz, Yazıt, İnsancıl, Evrensel Kültür, Pir Sultan Abdal, Pencere, Divriği Harman, Emekçi Kadınlar since 1964. She is a member of the Pir Sultan Abdal Association, the Association of Republican Women (founder), the Human Rights Association, the Language Society, the Writers Syndicate of Turkey, the Turkish Authors Association (Secretary General, for a period) and an honorary member of the Women Workers’ Union.
