Writer (b. 6 of March 1913, Edirne – d. 5 of June
2004). He attended İstanbul High School for Boys (1932) and graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Turkish Language and
Literature (1936). He worked as teacher at Galatasaray High School and the
Academy of Applied Fine Arts and as an art advisor at Akbank.
Güvemli, entering in the world of literature with his
essays and critics, became known for his stories that appeared in the magazine Büyük Doğu (1943-44). In the following
years he devoted more time to preparing anthologies and research. He is buried
in Zincirlikuyu Graveyard.
