Journalist and
writer (b. 1942, Kırşehir - d. 24 January 1993, Ankara). He was a graduate of
Ankara University, Faculty of Law (1966). He entered the same faculty again
when he returned from England where he had been a law assistant for a while (1968).
In 1968 and 1969, he was known for his articles that appeared in the reviews Emek, Yön, Kim, Yeni Ortam and
especially in Devrim. He was
imprisoned during the 12 March period. He reigned from his job at the faculty
in 1974 and started to work at the newspaper Cumhuriyet as an anecdote writer. He became one of the popular
anecdote writers of the period with his articles on terrorism, smuggling and
corruption mixed with a sense of humor. He also attracted a greater readership
with his research articles. He shared the 1987 Press Award with Uğur Dündar. He
lost his life in a bomb attack in Ankara.
