Scientist of
politics (b. 3 March 1957, Kırşehir).
He graduated from Ankara
University, Department of
Economics (1980). He completed his graduate education in the field of public
management (1983) and doctorate in the branch of political science at the same
university (1986). He worked as journalist in Ankara between the years 1980-82. He was
appointed to the Faculty of Political Sciences as a research assistant in 1984.
After working as assistant professor in the Faculty of Political Sciences
(1986-91) and in the Faculty of Economic Administrative and Sciences (1991-92),
he transferred to Hacettepe
University. As well as
being lecturer as assistant professor in the Faculty of Economic and
Administrative Sciences Department of Public Management; he was appointed to
the position of Assistant Manager of the Turkish Democracy Foundation (1987-88)
and Assistant Manager of the Institution of Foreign Politics (1992-95). He was
chosen as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of the
Liberal Thought Society, which he had established with his associates in 1997.
Since 2000, he has been Professor of Public Management at Gazi University
Faculty of Economics, Administration and Sciences.
In
addition to his duties in Turkey, he gave lectures as a guest lecturer at the
University of London between 1988-89 and in the United States George Mason
University between 1996-97. He lived in the United Kingdom in the year 1992. He
has attended international and national conferences and scientific meetings,
presented communiqués and made speeches.
He is member of
the Turkish Political Sciences Association, the Association of Liberal Thought
Society (director of the board of directors), the Mont Pelerin Society and the
review Liberal Düşünce (editorial board). He is also the editor of the
review Piyasa, a lecturer on Yorktown (United
States) Internet
University, a member of the
International Academic Consultative Committee of the Center for New Europe
Institute (based in Belgium
and Germany).
