Asım Kocabıyık

Businessman, industrialist (B. 1924, Tazlar village of Afyonkarahisar - D. December 28, 2012, Istanbul). He started with his business life in 1944 at Istikbal Trade, which was established by his father when he was a student. His industrial investments started by Borusan Pipe Industry Inc. in 1958. He established Borusan Holding in 1972. He has actively participated in the prominent institutions of business life, including Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD).

Asim Kocabiyik died on December 28, 2012 at the American Hospital, where he was being treated. His funeral was lifted at Fatih Mosque and buried in Istanbul.
