Writer (b. 1943,
Bilecik). She is the wife of poet Müştak Erenus. She graduated from Istanbul
University, Institute of Journalism. She worked at The urkish Radio and
Television Corporation İstanbul Radio as a scriptwriter and producer (1956-
73). She won an achievement award at the Turkish Radio and Television
Corporation 1970 Art Awards Contest with her radio play Evine Köylü Köyüne (Everyone to His Own Job), the 1978 Avni
Dilligil Theater Award with İkili Oyun
(The Double Play, 1978) and came first at the Children’s Plays Competition held
by the review Milliyet Sanat in 1979.
Her plays have been performed at
private theaters in Ankara and İstanbul. She was sentenced to 2 months in
prison because she declared, “Mothers I beg you, do not send your children to
war” at a union meeting (1966).
