Nizameddin Berin Taşan. His father was Aziz Taşan who wrote Merzifon Tarihi (The History of
Merzifon) and his grandfather was a sixteenth generation descendant of the
famous theosophy poet Şeyh Abdurrahim Rumî from Merzifon. He attended
His first poem Bu Sabah (This Morning) was published in the magazine Varlık (1 February 1946). In the following years his writing and poetry were published in the magazines Türk Dili, Kıyı, Yeditepe, Yeni Ufuklar, Ataç, Dost, Seçilmiş Hikâyeler, Soyut, and Kaynak. His poems featured in various anthologies and his name was given to a street in Karşıyaka.
