1851, Fatih / Istanbul – D. 1918, Istanbul). He studied at
He started writing when
he was a student. First, he has written articles for the Ibret newspaper
published by Namik Kemal. As Ibret newspaper was shut down, he was first
imprisoned with Namik Kemal and his friends; then sent to exile to Akka Castle
with Nuri Mustafa Bey (1873-1876). His exile ended when Sultan Murad the Fifth
came to power. He knew Arabic, Persian and French.
