His short stories with the subject that he took from the lives of Southeast people were mostly published in the reviews such as Yeditepe, May, Halkın Dostları, Yeni a and Yazko-Edebiyat. He won May Literature Award with his storybook Kara Vagon (Black Wagon) in 1968 and Sait Faik Short Story Award with Kaçakçı Şahan (Smuggler Şahan)
