Historian (b. 10 March 1950, Sindelhöyük Town / Develi
/ Kayseri). He attended Sindelhöyük Primary School (1964), Mimar Sinan Primary
Teachers Training School (1970), Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture,
Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation (1975). He works as a
technician at the Kayseri Agricultural Provincial Directorate. He speaks
English and Ottoman Turkish.
His first articles appeared in the March 1989 issue of
the newspaper Sinan, which is the publication organ of the Primary
Teacher Training School that he attended. He other articles were published in
newspapers and reviews such as Bizim Anadolu (1976- 1978), Bayrak
(1978-79-1987), Zaman (1987-1993-95), Gündüz (1995-96), Tercüman
(1992-93), Ortadoğu (1992-93), Erciyes (1989- 93), Askeri
Tarih Dergisi (1995) and Türk Dünyası Tarih Dergisi (1988-93). Some
of his books have been serialized in the newspapers mentioned above. His works
have also been published by Vatan Publications, which he owns. He offered one
of the houses he owned in Kayseri Talas with the name of the Süleyman Kocabaş
Private Library for the use of researchers. He is a member of the Writers Union
of Turkey and the Professional Association of Scientific and Literary Work
Owners of Turkey.
