Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ

Businesswoman.Born in 1964 in Istanbul. Upon graduating from Saint Michel High School and Boğaziçi University’s Department of Sociology, she studied management education in England. She founded in 1990 the Mail Order company within Milpa with the German Quelle company which was the beginning of her professional career. She was an administrator in this company until 1992. Between 1993 and 95 she was an executive board member of Alternatif Bank after it started its activities.

Yalçındağ who worked between 1995 and 96 in the administration of Milliyet Magazine Group undertook the financial department. She started to work in Kanal D in 1996. She started works in 1999 in order to establish a shared news channel between CNN International and DoğanYayın Holding. This project started its broadcasting activity in 2000 as a partner of the American Time Warner Group under the name CNN Türk.

ArzuhanDoğanYalçındağ was one of the founders and member of executive board of AydınDoğan Foundation. In the same time she was chairwoman of executive board of  Doğan Holding and DoğanYayın Holding starting from 1 January 2010. She was the first woman president of TÜSİAD between 2007 and 10. After the end of her presidency she continued her duty as a member of TÜSİAD council of presidents. In the same time she is a member of executive board in Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation, Turkish-American Businessmen Association and Turkish Third Sector Foundation. She is also a founder member of Woman Entrepreneurs Association. She conducted lobbying works in European countries on behalf of Turkey as the President of Woman Initiative for the purpose of European Union.
