Poet, researcher and
writer (b. 1923, San’a / Yemen - d. 5
June 2008, İstanbul).
He graduated from Kastamonu High School (1941) and İstanbul University, Faculty
of Literature, Department of Philosophy (1948). For a while ha was a translator.
Since 1962 he has run Elif Bookstore in İstanbul Beyazıt Secondhand Book
Bazaar. He began writing with an interview that was published in the review Son
Dakika. He is known more for his bibliographies.
His poems and
articles have been published in the reviews and newspapers Yığın, Fikirler, Vakit, Son Saat, Türk Dili, Yeni Ufuklar, Yeditepe,
Cumhuriyet, Sanat Olayı, Felsefe. He published a bibliography and biography
review (1960-65, 43 issues)
