Poet (b. 24 September 1949, Prizren (Kosova), Yugoslavia). His full name is Altay
Suroy Recepoğlu. He graduated from the Faculty of Law (1971). He worked as a
journalist at Tan newspaper for a while (1969-72). He worked as the
Director of the Legal Office at Prizen Agriculture and Industry Corporation
(1972-77), as a judge at Prizren
Local Court (1977-90), as an independent lawyer
(1990-2000) and then served as the Attorney General of Prizren. He has come to Turkey
every year since 1968. He is the Chairman of the Turkish Writers Union of
Kosovo.
His first poem, Kırlangıçlar (Swallows), was published in Birlik
newspaper (Skopje)
in 1964. He has written for reviews and newspapers published in Serbian,
Albanian and Romanian in Yugoslavia.
