Poet and writer (b.  21 January 1964, İstanbul).  He graduated from Trakya University, Faculty of Pharmacy (1990). He worked for eight years at Kahramanmaraş State Hospital (1990-1998) and then at İstanbul Etiler Retirement Home.

His first poem was published in the journal Yamaç (İzmir) in 1984. His poems and essays were published in journals Yamaç, Varlık, Adam Sanat, Milliyet Sanat, Öküz, Uç, Kül, Ötekisiz Yazılı Günler, Dönemeç, Yeni Yaprak, etc in the following years. He received the Ali Rıza Erten Poetry Award in 1988 with Yazılmamış Mektuplar (Unwritten Letters), an Honorable Mention at the Akademy Bookshop Poetry Award with Eski Bir Çocuk (An Old Child) in 1989, the Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Poetry Award in 1991, the Orhon Murat Arıburnu Poetry Award with Çamur Şiir (Mud Poem) in 1995 and the Cemal Sureya Award of 2000 with his folder Şiddet Evet (Violence Yes).
