Alim Töppeev (Töppelanı Alim)

Poet and writer (b. 1937, Töppeev Köndelen Village, Kabardino-Balkar Republic). He graduated from Moscow Institute of Literature. He first began writing by poems, after 1960 he wrote in other types. He gained famous with his short stories, novels and novellas published right after the other. He received the Kabardino-Balkar Republic Writer of the People title. He received Republic State Award.

He staged Namıs (Virtue), Seni Jarığıng (Your Light), Kommunist (Communist), Jolğa Tüşgen Taş (Stone fall down the Street), Azap Jolu (Way of  Torment, about famous poet Kazim Meçiev), Artutay (Artutay) in Balkar State Theatre. He has many scientific researches about Balkar Literature and textbooks of Balkar Literature for schools. Among them, his book Balkarskaya Proza (Balkar Prose) in Russian was accepted as textbooks for schools.

WORKS:

POETRY: Janım Sense (My Heart is You, 1959).

NOVEL: Jannetni Kızı (Daughter of Paradise, 1966 with verses), Otlak Taşla (Flints), Taşıul (Harvest Season), Azatlık (Liberation), Sıyrat Köpür (Sırat Bridge).

RESEARCH: Kuliylanı Kaysın (Kuliev Jumps).
