Storywriter
(b. 16 May 1951, Hasköy / Kiğı / Bingöl). In some of his works, he has used
Vurgun and Mahmut Mustafaoğlu as pen names. He is a grandchild of the lecturer
İsmail Hakkı Efendi. He attended Hasköy Primary School (Kiğı) and graduated
from Elazığ İmam Hatip High School (1975) and Erzurum Atatürk University,
Faculty of Literature, Department of Turkish (1979). He worked in farming in
his village and was a businessman in İstanbul. He has served as the Provincial
Chairman of the Virtue Party and as a
counselor to the Mayor of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality. He is a member of
the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association.
His first short story Tıkırtı (Click) was published
