Researcher of
literature (b. 11 August 1963, Şanlıurfa). He graduated from Urfa High School
and from the Education Faculty of 19 Mayıs University. He received his master’s
and doctorate degree from Gazi University, Social Science Institute (1993). His
master thesis was Nâbî’nin Kasideciliği
(Kaside* Writing of Nabi) and his doctorate thesis was Nâbî Divanı (The Divan* of
Nabi). He lectured on the Turkish language at the Middle East Technical
University (1985-87), and worked as an instructor at Gazi University, Faculty
of Education (1988-96). He became an associate professor and then a professor.
After 1996, he worked as the Director of the Social Sciences Institute at Fatih
University.
His first article
“Divan Şiirinde Aşk”
(Love in Divan* Poetry) was
published in the periodical Millî Kültür (1984).
Since then his articles, poems, essays and critiques have been published in the
periodicals Millî Kültür, Türk Edebiyatı,
Dergâh, Fatih Üniversitesi Dergisi.
