Businessman, President of İTO (T.N. Istanbul Chamber of Commerce), Vice-President of TOBB (Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges). He was born on 29th  November 1965 in Istanbul. He attended Saint Joseph Fransız High School between 1977 and 1984, and Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering between 1984 and 1988. He did his master’s degree in Shared Master Program of Management in Boston & Vrije Universities between 1988 and 1990. He completed his doctoral thesis on “The Customer Satisfaction in the Service Industry" in the Management Department of Istanbul University in between 2005 and 2007. Yalçıntaş, who speaks English, French, German, and Arabic, is married with three children.

He is still the president of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (İTO) and the vice-president of Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB). Murat Yalçıntaş has served in various institutions and corporations in different positions during his career. He was in the Founders’ Committee of Adalet ve Kalkınma Party (AKP) and in the Board of Directors of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD). He also served as the project officer in Islamic Development Bank (IDB). He was granted with several awards.

The awards granted to him are as such: 2010 - France / Medal of Légion d'Honneur, 2010 - Italy Honor of State / Commendatore, 2008 - Istanbul Exporters’ Association, The Honor Award of Service of Exportation, 2008 - The Honor Award of Istanbul Governorship, 2006 - Chamber President of the Year Award by the Association of GAP Journalists. 2000 - MÜSİAD Certificate of Achievement.
