Journalist, writer and novelist (b. 1911, Kozan / Adana – d. 1989, İstanbul). He began his career as a journalist in 1933 in the newspaper Haber. He continued his job as a reporter, writer and chief editor in the newspapers, Dünya, Cumhuriyet, Son Posta, Tan, Yeni Sabah, Tanin, Hergün, Son Telgraf, Gece Postası, Hürriyet ve Tercüman. He gained a mass readership by serializing the lives of famous Turk wrestlers. It is said that former Turkish President, Cemal Gürsel, often called him and asked him for information related to this serial. Sertoğlu also became a pioneer of the expansion of sport pages and cartoon strips in newspapers. He spoke French, English, Arabic and Farsi. He wrote around two hundred novels.
