Meral Dalaman

Poet (b. 1 January 1950, Siverek / Şanlıurfa). After graduating from Urfa Primary Teacher School for Women (1968), she completed her pre-graduate studies at Anadolu University, Open Education Faculty (1987). She worked as a class teacher and a teacher of Turkish and Social Information etc. She is still working as a general coordinator at a publishing house..

The 13-part documentary serial, which she wrote the text of, on the subject of education and teachers was shown on Turkish Radio and Television Corporation’s Channel 2 and Channel 3 in 1996. She has staged several poetry exhibitions and her poems have been published as postcards. Some of her poetry has been set to music. She has won many awards from various organizations.

Deli Fırat Dolu Dizgin Nereye (Where is Mad Fırat Going At Full Gallop, 1989), Dünya Çocuklarına (To the Children of the World, 1994), Dudaklarında İsmim Olacak (Your Name Will Be On My Lips, 1995), Sevgiyi Katık Yaptık (We Made Love Our Meal When We Had Nothing Else To Eat, 1995).

She has also prepared textbooks and reference books.
