Storywriter
(b. 29 August 1972, Samsun). She completed her primary and secondary education
in Gaziantep, Kars and İzmir and then graduated from Gazi University, Faculty
of Communications, Department of Public Relations and Promotion. She started
her interest in theatre as an actor during her university years. She was chosen
as the best female actor twice in Ankara University Youth Festivals in 1993 and
1994. She worked as a scriptwriter, in advertising, on documentaries and as a
researcher in İstanbul.
She published her stories in
magazines Varlık, Adam, Öykü, Yaşasın
Edebiyat and Prizma. She received
the 1995 Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Award (together with N. Beşergi) with her
articles and the second prize in the 1996 Gençlik Publishing House Story Competition
Award and in 2000 the Cevdet Kudret Literature Award with Sandık Lekesi
(Stain on the Chest).
