Poet and writer (b. 1955, Ardahan). He attended primary and secondary school in Ardahan. He graduated from Erzincan Industrial Vocational High School, Department of Electronics (1975) and Erzurum Atatürk University, Faculty of Literature, Department of French Language and Literature (1982). He worked as an electronic technician at Erzurum and Erzimcan Municipalities and in a private company in İstanbul. He worked as editor-in-chief at the reviews İslam (1985), İlim ve Sanat (1985-87) and Gül Çocuk. In 1989 he was appointed as general editor-in-chief at the review İslam. He has been a supervisor at TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi (The Turkish Foundation for Religious Affairs Islamic Encyclopedia) for which he has also written some sections. He managed the reviews Dergi and Ayrıntı, and the radio stations Marmara FM (1997-98) and Radyo 7 (1998). He published the İslam Araştırmaları review with a team, where he also worked as a coordinator.

His poems, interviews, articles, book reviews and biographies have been published in Millî Gazete, Talebe, Muştu, Vahdet, Mavera, İlim ve Sanat, İslâm Ansiklopedisi, Hüner, Kadın ve Aile, Kayıtlar, Nehir, Yeni Şafak, Yeni Dünya encyclopedias and newspapers.
