Poet and writer (b. 1955, Bursa). He attended Mimar Kemal Primary School, the Turkish Association for Education Ankara College, School of Practical Fine Arts, Department of Textile Arts. He made his graduate studies at Ege University, Faculty of Fine Arts (Hand Printing in the Aegean Region, 1950). He received his proficiency award in textile arts with his exhibition at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He began to work as a lecturer at Ege University, Department of Fine Arts in 1977 and has continued at the Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Textile Arts since 1981 (1996).

His poems and short stories were published in the reviews and newspapers such as Yazko Edebiyat, Türk Dili, Broy, Gösteri, Düşün, Varlık, Milliyet Sanat, Türk Dili Dergisi, Türk Dili, Atika, Cumhuriyet and Adam Öykü. He shared the Yunus Nadi Unpublished Short Story Award in 1993 with Vüs’at O. Bener, for his untitled work including seven short stories. He also collected the Sait Faik Short Story Award in 1994 with his book Yaz Evi (House for Summer). He is a member of the Education Members Association, the Writers Syndicate of Turkey, the Education Workers Union, the PEN Association of Writers and the Turkish Authors Association.
