Poet (b. 4 December 1946, Gülşehir-ancient Arapsun / Nevşehir). He graduated from Bakırköy High School (1966) and Ankara University, Faculty of Language and History, Geography. He worked for the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation's radio in Erzurum, Van and Hakkari as a producer and broadcaster (1968-74) and in the sales department at Halk Insurance (1975-80). He established Tan Publications in 1980 and he published the Tan monthly poetry anthology.

His first poem Rüzgârlı (Windy) was published in the magazine Soyut in 1966 and his other poems were published in Soyut (1966-74), Türk Dili (1967-90), Sanat Dergisi (1975-76), Oluşum (1976), Türkiye Yazıları, Yusufçuk, Tan (1981-82), Sonbahar (1993) and Edebiyat ve Eleştirisi (1995). He received the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation Achievement Award in Poetry in 1971, in 1975 the Achievement Award in Poetry from Milliyet Sanat magazine, with his work Bir Denizin Çekildiği Bütün Kıyılar (All the Shores Where The Sea Ebbs) he won the 1981 Award of the Turkish Language Association and with his collected poems Küflü Şimşek (Moldy Lightening) he received the 2000 Mediterranean Golden Orange Poetry Award. He is the member of Language Association.
