He completed Darboğaz Villge Primary and
Secondary Schools ,Bafra High School .He graduated from Ankara Hacettepe
University.Department of History. (1981)
He completed his master studies at Hacettepe University, Faculty of
Literature ,Branch of History with his thesiz ’Osmanlı İmparatorluğunda Çözülme
ve Gelenekçi Yorumcular : XVI.-XVIII. Yüzyıllar .1985 (Dissolution and
Traditional Interpreters in The Ottoman
Empire ‘ He completed his doctorate studies with his thesiz ‘Population
–Taxation and Regional Economy in The
District of Canik / According to Ottoman
Essay Notebooks 1455-1576) 1996. He worked as lecturer and researcher in Cambridge
University , Faculty of Eastern Researches(1981-86) , assistant prof.(1992-95),associate
prof.(1995-2003). He has been a lecturer at the same University at History Science Section of New Century since 2004.He has been the President of History Section.
His first article titled ‘Tahrir
Defterlerinin Osmanlı Araştırmalarında Kullanılması ‘ 1991 (Usage of Essay
Notebooks at The Ottoman Researches) was published in Varlık Rewiev Later on
his Professional articles ,critics and translations have been published in Türk
Yurdu, Türkiye Günlüğü, 19 Mayıs Üniversity
Rewiev of Literature Faculty, Tarih Çevresi, Belloton, Osmanlı
Araştırmaları, İslami Araştırmalar. Boğaziçi University Rewiev of Economy and Managerial

prepared and presented programmes on television channels in
Ankara.He participated in the first part of
Documantary Film ‘Beylikten İmparatorluğa’( From Being A Tribe To
Empire’
He has presented in various
congresses, conferences and symposiums. He edited some boks, He won the Authors
Union Research Award with his work ‘XV.-XVI. Yüzyıllarda Canik Sancağı’ ( Canik
Sajak in the XV-XVI. Centuries) He is
the member of Turkey Profession Union of Literary and Scientific Work Owneres.
