Story and novel writer (b. 1875,
İstanbul – d. 25 July 1929). After private tutoring, he graduated from
Galatasaray High School. He served as a clerk at the Office of Foreign Affairs
and the Foreign Correspondence Office. Later on, he worked as a member of the
State Council and was Chief of Protocol at the Office of Foreign Affairs.
Before he could begin his duty as the Ambassador to Prague, he died from a
heart attack at a ball in İstanbul. His stories were published in the review Servet-i Fünûn from
1896 and the daily newspaper Ziya that he also published for a while. He
was known for his plays, novels and stories that featured the social life and
entertainment in Beyoğlu, İstanbul.
