Journalist and writer (b. 1869, Erzurum – d. 28 September 1942, İstanbul). He graduated from the School of Politics (1887). Having started his journalist career in his student years, he wrote first in the reviews Şafak (1886) and Umran (1889) and then he published the famous review Servet-i Fünûn (1891). He made Tevfik Fikret head of this review with the help of Recaizade Ekrem. He translated novels from French. Besides publishing the review, he also worked as a civil servant. He worked as a teacher at the Commerce School, and was the mayor of Beyoğlu Municipality (1912) and Ordu parliamentary deputy for three terms in the years 1931-1935, 1935-1939 and 1939-1942. He spoke German and French.

The most important feature of Ahmet İhsan is that he published the review Servet-i Fünûn, which takes a special place in our literature, as it was the review that was published for the longest time. The review Servet-i Fünûn was published two more years after the death of its founder and closed on 25 May 1944 with its 2461st. issue
