Storywriter (b. December 1961, Malatya). He attended Malatya Melekbaba Primary School (1970), Dörtyol Experimental High School (1978) and graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1983). After working as a teacher of literature at elementary schools in Sivas (1985-87), he was recruited by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. He began to work as a producer on the Ankara Channel of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation in 1998.

His first short story with the title Ana (Mother) was published in the arts page of the newspaper Yeni Asya in 1980. His other works appeared in the review Köprü and in the newspapers Tasvir and Zaman. He collected the short story award from the review Köprü in 1981; the Writers Union of Turkey Short Story Award in 1986 with his book Şehirleri Süsleyen Yolcu (The Traveler who Adorns the Cities), in which he proved his success in writing stories; the essay award in 1992 and the award for television programs in 1994 from the same organization; the award for television programs from the Foundation for Turkish National Culture in 1991 and the award for television programs from the Confederation of True Trade Unions of Turkey in 1994.
