Poet and writer (b. Kırıkkale, 1946). He used the pen name Kemaloğlu
when he wrote poems in Âşık style (Turkish syllabic metered poetry as composed by troubadours). He
graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Language
and History. He completed his doctorate on New Turkish Literature at Atatürk
University, Faculty of Literature. He became an associate professor and then a
professor at Hacettepe University where he worked as an academic for many
years. After a while he gave lectures at Gazi University. And for some time he
was the president of the Atatürk Cultural Center. He published his poems and
articles in the magazines Töre, Türk
Kültürü, Millî Kültür and Türk Dili.
