Researcher - writer. He was born in Merzifon/ Amasya on March 10, 1943.
He graduated from Kayseri High School (1963), Ankara University Faculty of
Language History Geography Classical Archeology Department (1968). He worked as
reporter in local newspapers, and then he established publishing and agency in
Ankara in 1965 and published Önasya magazine (1965-72, 78 issue). He began to work as an ancient
artifact registration specialist in Prime Ministry General Directorate of
Foundations in 1973. He worked in Ministry of Culture (1976) and Anatolian
Civilizations Museum (1978). He was assigned as a vice president of Prime
Ministry General Directorate of Foundations Archive and Press Office in 1978.
He was assigned as a president of Culture and Registration Office in 1998. He
was retired in 2002 with his own will. He was in board of management of a
construction company in 1999. Also he taught Turkish crafts history lessons in
Gazi University Vocational Education and Formal Education Faculty (1992-98).
His articles were published in Merzifon’un
Sesi newspaper and Vakıflar, Vakıf ve Kültür, Kültür ve Sanat, İmage magazines since 1958. While he was working
in Ministry of Culture, he worked as a founder of Millî Kültür magazine
and published first ten issues. He also published Dünya Edebiyatından
Seçmeler magazine on behalf of ministry.
