Poet, playwright and actor (b.
1944, Kayseri – d. 21 October 2004, İstanbul). He completed his primary and
secondary education in Kayseri. After publishing articles and poems in local
newspapers, he published his first poetry book and then embarked on theater. He
toured across Anatolia with theater groups he founded. He established the Hilal
Theater and directed the plays he wrote such as Moskof Sehpası (The
Russian Gallow), Dilsiz Şeytan (Silent Evil) and Günahkar Baba
(The Sinful Father); and he also played in these plays as an actor.
He started to publish novels
after 1980; however he did not leave theater. He founded the theater group
called Gece Oyuncuları. Then, he left this group and became one of the founders
of Birlik Sanat, together with Ulvi Alacakaptan. Later, he worked independently;
he took roles in movies, TV films and TV series.
