Ahmet Günbay Yıldız

Novelist and poet (b. 30 October 1941, Kızılcaören / Reşadiye / Tokat). He attended Kalaba Primary School (1954), Hüseyin Güllüoğlu Secondary School (1957) and Yenimahalle High School (1960). He worked at the Ministry of Public Works between 1961-63. He worked in various positions at Central Bank from 1965 after he had completed his military duty until 1992. In the same years, he was a founder member and member of board of directors of the Development and Fidelity Foundation of Turkey, Türdav Publications and the Writers Union of Turkey. He was among the founders and member of board of directors of Timaş Publications.

His first article, Çıkamam Huzuruna (I Cannot Appear Before You), was published in the newspaper Hakses in 1964. His work Çiçekler Susayınca (When the Flowers are Thirsty) was published in Yeni Asya (1970) and Yanık Buğdaylar (Burnt Wheat) was published in Millî Gazete (1972). His poems were also published in the review Sur.
