Poet and
critic (b. 20 May 1946, Hamarkend Village, Yardımlı, Azerbaijan). He graduated
from Azerbaijan State University, Faculty of Philology. He became doctor of
literature with the thesis “Celil
Memmedguluzâde ve Folklor” (Celil Memmedguluzâde and Folklore).
His
first poem (Kenti Yolu-His Own Way)
was published in the newspaper Azerbaycan
Gençleri in 1964. He worked as director in Edebiyyat and İncesenet and
Yazıcı Publishing Houses. He was chosen as deputy from Baku in 1990. He held
the problems of contemporary individual and nationalism in his poems.
