Storywriter and novelist (b. 1963, Demirözü village /
Yıldızeli / Sivas). She went to primary school in Sivas. Afterwards, she didn’t
have the chance to have a regular education. She attended various craft
courses. Besides this, she took Koran, Commentary on the Koran, Arabian and
Ottoman lessons. Her articles and poems have been published in Bizim Aile,
Kardelen, Hüner, Güneysu, Çerağ magazines and Zaman newspaper. For a
while she worked as columnist and was responsible for the page layout for Marmara
newspaper in Bursa and was a field reporter.
She won the Bizim Aile Review Short Story Award
in June 1989 with her story named Bütünü Bölmek (Dividing the Whole),
and came second at the Esra Film Screenplay, Novel and Short Story contest that
the Kombassan Company Group and Esra Film organized in 1994 with her children’s
novel named Erik Ağacımı Kestiler (They Cut Down My Plum Tree). Her
novel named Sızı (Pain) was adapted for the radio.
