Journalist and
playwright (b. 1928, İstanbul). He graduated from Robert College (1947). He
studied theater history and dramatic literature in the United States at Cornell
University. He found the Çağlayan Publishing House in 1953. He wrote humorous
articles in the review Dolmuş and Akbaba and anecdotes in the newspapers Milliyet (1965-81) and Güneş (1981-84). He lived in United
States for a long time, where he went on the invitation of Iowa University.
Many of his plays have been performed
in state and private theaters. He came second at the Play Competition held by
the International Industry and Commercial Bank in 1984 with his play Bunu Yapan İki Kişi (Two That Make
This), which he wrote with Tülay Güngör, and won the Writers Union of Turkey 1995
