Researcher and writer (b. 21 April 1948, İstanbul). He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration (1977). He completed his doctorate at Münster University (Germany) in 1979. He worked as an assistant and instructor at German Universities. He still works at Essen University as an instructor with the title professor doctor, as well as being the Director of the Turkish Studies Center. He is known for his studies concerning Turkish – European Relations, multiculturalism and problems of immigrant workers. Apart from his books, many of his articles in Turkish, German and English have been published in various magazines.
