Poet and writer. He was born on August 23, 1943 (1946 in his ID card) at Köprübaşı village / Düzce. After completing the primary school in his village, he learned Qur’an and Ottoman Turkish, and received special training on Islamic sciences. He graduated from Düzce High School (1967) and Ankara University, Faculty of Theology (1971). He completed his doctoral studies at the same faculty and became a Theology Doctor (1979). He graduated from National Security Academy (1998). He stayed at University of Jordan for a while in order to conduct scientific and academic studies. He worked as Bolu and Ankara Vice Mufti for the Religious Affairs Directorate, researcher at TRT Ankara Radio, service chief of Morale and Religious Publications, program producer at Türkiye Radios, vice manager at Ankara Radio and as consultant for Prime Ministry. He received a certificate of appreciation for his work at this duty.

Hundreds of speeches and programs on religion and ethics were broadcasted in the Radio of Türkiye’nin Sesi and Türkiye Radios. These speeches and programs were published in many radio channels broadcasting at Germany, Australia, Cyprus, Macedonia, Europe, America, Asia and Canada. Ermemiş is the author of famous Iftar prayer published in televisions and radios for long years; and numerous articles of him were published in several journals and newspapers both in Turkish and in Arabic. His work named Küreselleşen Dünya’da İslâm’ı Anlama Understanding Islam in the Globalizing World” was translated into Arabic. He received the Success Award of Turkey National Culture Foundation in 1958. His poem named Duygu Çeşmesi was composed in nihavent mode by composer Suat Yıldırım and in uşşak mode by composer Necip Altın; included to the TRT repertoire. He is the member of Ankara Journalists’ Association and Istanbul Press Council.
