Poet and writer (b. 1916, Köndelen
village / Kabardino / Balkar Republic - d. 1986). He fought against Germans in
the Soviet Army in World War II, he was awarded with many medals. He worked in
newspapers in Tacikhstan during his exile years in Middle Asia. After returning
to his homeland, he served as the President of the Parliament of
Kabardino-Balkar Republic and Vice President of Parliament of Russian
Federation for long years. His first novella Künümü Küzgüsü (Mirror of
Nowadays) were published in 1939 while he was working as correspondent in Sosyalist Kabardino-Balkar.
