Poet and writer
(b. 21 March 1955, Kümbet / Şarkışla / Sivas).
He attended Kümbet Village Primary School,
Ankara Gaziosmanpaşa
Secondary School and graduated from Atatürk High School,
and then from Ankara
University, Faculty of
Education, Department of Psychology (1992). He worked for a while as a
construction worker, print office worker and call center operator (1971-79).
When he postponed his education for a while, he worked for the encyclopedias Görsel (Visual), Gelişim Larousse
(Larousse by Gelişim
Publications), Temel Britannica (Basic Britannica) as a writer and a
member of the editorial board. He gave lectures on Communication and Alienation
at the Anatolian University (1997-1998). After 1996, he
worked as press advisor at Başkent
University.
His first poem,
Filistin (Palestine)
was published in the periodical Yarın in
1981. His other poems and articles have been published in the periodical Edebiyat Dostları, of which he was one
of the founders, and in other periodicals such as Edebiyat-Eleştiri, Defter,
Adam Sanat, Tempo, and in the newspapers Güneş,
Siyah Beyaz (one of the founders and
editor) and Demokrat.
